Víctor Fernández-Mallat | ST17
Víctor Fernández-Mallat studied Hispanic Linguistics at the University of Montreal. In the spring of 2014, he completed his PhD with a thesis titled “El español de los inmigrantes de los Andes bolivianos en el Norte Grande de Chile: convergencias y divergencias dialectales en el marco de una situación de contacto”, which received an award of excellence. He has held lecturer positions at the University of Washington and the University of Basel. At the University of Bern, he holds and Assistant position in the Institute of Spanish Language and Literatures and is an Associate Postdoctoral Fellow of the Walter Benjamin Kolleg.
